You don’t need fancy machines or a gym membership to achieve a strong, sculpted core. This at-home ab routine is designed for women and hits all major muscles of your midsection — helping you build strength, stability, and better posture. All you need is a mat and some determination!

Ready to feel that burn? Let’s start!

Dead Bug

Lie on your back with arms straight up and knees bent at 90°. Slowly extend your right arm and left leg towards the floor, keeping your core tight and lower back pressed into the mat. Return to centre and repeat on the other side. Exhale as you extend; inhale as you return. Avoid letting your back arch.

Bicycle Crunches

Lying on your back, hands gently behind your head, bring knees up. Twist your torso to bring your right elbow towards your left knee as you extend your right leg. Switch sides in a pedalling motion. Keep your elbows wide and avoid pulling on your neck. Exhale on each twist; inhale through centre.

Forearm Plank

Place forearms on the mat, elbows under shoulders, and legs extended. Form a straight line from head to heels, pulling your navel up towards spine. Squeeze glutes and keep hips level. Breathe deeply and avoid letting hips drop or pike. Focus on holding with steady breaths.

Reverse Crunch

Lie back, arms by sides, knees bent with feet off the floor. Using your core, draw knees in towards chest and lift hips just off the mat. Lower down slowly without using momentum. Exhale as you lift, inhale as you lower. Don't swing your legs — move with control.

Russian Twists

Sit with knees bent, heels on the floor, and lean torso back slightly. Hold hands together at chest and rotate torso to the left, then right, engaging your abs throughout. Exhale as you twist, inhale through centre. Keep your back straight — avoid rounding your shoulders.

Leg Raises

Lie flat with legs straight and arms by your sides. Lift legs up together towards ceiling while keeping your lower back on the mat. Lower legs back down slowly, stopping before your back arches. Exhale as you lower, inhale as you lift. Don’t use momentum — keep the move slow and steady.
