Why are berries and antioxidants so valuable?
Berries like blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are rich in antioxidants that help fight free radicals in the body. These natural protective substances promote your cell health and can strengthen the immune system. Just one glass of this smoothie provides you with a concentrated load of valuable nutrients!
Choose the right berry mix
For the ultimate antioxidant boost, you can combine different berries. Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries are particularly popular - fresh or frozen depending on the season. Vary the varieties according to your taste and pay attention to good quality in order to achieve full vitamin enjoyment.
A little tip: add some lemon juice to the smoothie. This not only enhances the aroma, but the vitamin C ensures even better nutrient absorption and a pleasant freshness.
Cleverly refine smoothies
Would you like to make your berry smoothie even richer? Try a spoonful of chia seeds or oatmeal for extra fiber. Plant-based yogurt is ideal for a vegan version. And if you like it particularly creamy, add half a banana - this makes the smoothie nice and creamy and pleasantly sweet!
